We are looking to raise funds to help Cheryl pay for parking, gas and to help cover the cost of medications.
She is on a fixed income and doesn't have much to cover the extra expenses.
In the winter of 2014 Cheryl was diagnosed with kidney cancer. The treatment was removal of the kidney. The doctor felt certain that all the cancer was contained in the kidney, so there was no need for chemo or radiation. Her last CT scan done in August of 2014 was normal.
In Augustof this year she went to the doctor for a unusual case of constipation. The doctor ordered a x-ray to make sure nothing was blocked. The results came back with the finding of the tumor in the lower left quadrant of her abdomen. A CT guided biopsy was preformed and came back positve for cancer. The cancer is in her left hip bone and in some areas surrounding it. Unlike most cancers it's not cureable but it is treatable.
She will be receiving chemo and radiation. This is something that she will now be fighting for quite some time.
