On October 22, 2024, our son, Todd, and his fiancée, Maraline, lost everything when their house burned down along with their shed. They are devastated. Their basic necessities, personal items, and spirits are temporarily destroyed. They are in shock and in dire need of assistance. But they have each other and are remaining strong.
They were lucky to get out with their lives. The neighbors were banging on their door to inform them of the fire which was outside their home. Todd and their neighbors attempted to put the fire out by using fire extinguishers and garden hoses. Nothing worked. Maraline and their dog, Skyla, got out just before the roof fell in.
The fire department were there in 6 minutes along with the paramedics. The firefighters got to the scene fast and extinguished the fire very quickly but there was no saving their home or shed.
They both work from home and are now without a home office or working equipment to continue providing & supporting their family and they still have an outstanding mortgage.
Most items can be replaced but there are items that can never be replaced. They lost Marlaine’s mothers ashes, photo albums, sport trophies and I’m sure there are other items lost that they have not discovered.
We have been helping as much as we can along with the Red Cross and The Mustard Seed Ministries. They have been wonderful. Thanks goes to the fire department, paramedics, Red Cross and The Mustard Seed Ministries.
They are currently living in a motel and are looking for a furnished place. Many people have been asking what they need during this time, and it fills our hearts. We cannot even begin to process this tragedy, but the support we have been receiving makes this process much easier on the heart.
Our church and friends are praying for them, and we want to thank you in advance for your thoughts, prayers, and donations. If you can find it in your hearts to contribute whatever you can, it would be greatly appreciated, and we will feel your love and support by reading your messages and hearing from those who we known. If nothing else, please pray for them as they rebuild their lives. Thank you and GOD bless you.
Please continue to share this fundraiser with others to help reach our goal from such a devastating loss.
