To help cover medical expenses for Chris

Hi my name is Carri and I'm fundraising for my brother in law Chris.

A few years ago Chris was first diagnosed with a brain tumor. He underwent surgery, chemo and radiation and things seemed ok for a bit.

Unfortunately Chris' cancer has returned and he has now been diagnosed with Stage 3 Anaplastic Astrocytoma. Treatment is no longer working and Chris has had to quit his job.

To add to everything, we have recently found out that the treatment that can help with symptoms and possibly give Chris more time isn't covered and it is nearly $8000/ month. In addition to the treatment, Chris needs to follow a special diet which is quite costly putting the monthly cost to around $9000.

Chris' best friend Lynnelle (his former wife) and her partner Matt have taken the best care of Chris during his entire cancer journey and have even moved Chris in with them fulltime so that they can care for him. Chris and Lynnelle have two amazing kids together - Tobin and Niyah. This has been very hard on them and our hope is that with this treatment Chris will get to have a bit more quality time with them.

We truly couldn't be more blessed to have Lynnelle and Matt in our lives and we will be eternally grateful for all that they have done.

Chris is and always has been a humble human. Throughout his cancer journey he has remained positive and in good spirits. He's witty, funny and sarcastic and it breaks my heart to even think about life without him.

To have someone you love go through this is hard enough without having to worry about how you will be able to pay for treatment.
