Bosch Rexroth ride for the RNLI
After raising more than £1500 last year for The British Lung Foundation, we were discussing which charity to choose for this year's ride, when one of my colleagues who looks after the RNLI as a customer of ours, told me that they were having to cut back on personnel and services due to a reduction in donations. We all immediately knew what we had to do! The RNLI is the 'fourth Emergency Service' and is funded entirely by voluntary donations and is also staffed by many volunteers. This ride is not only to raise funds for the RNLI as our bit is a drop in the ocean (sorry about the pun!) but is mainly about raising awareness that donations are dwindling and to encourage people to reverse the trend and help support this essential service.
Bosch Rexroth played a big part in the design and supply of the drive system for the launch and recovery vehicle for the new Shannon class boat (pictured above). It is revolutionary in the way it works and is the ultimate 'go anywhere' 4x4!
