The Scala Family

Hello friends. My name is Liese Morrissey and I am blessed enough to call the Scalas dear friends. We became friends through our girls, Jenna & Izzy and the rest is history. I am here today asking you for your help to support this beloved family, Mike, Jamie and their three kids, Jenna, Michael and Joelle in a time of need.

In January 2019, Mike was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer. Mike and Jamie, being Mike and Jamie took it head on. Doctor appointments, trips to Sloan in NYC, and treatment options began.

Over time the cancer spread to Mike's liver making the treatment options more challenging; but that didn't stop Mike. His never give up attitude meant going to work before and after treatments and on days he wasn't feeling well continued. A memorable moment during this time was Mike being inducted into the Montclair Athletic Hall of fame. While Jamie wanted him to slow down, Mike kept going.

A few weeks ago the doctors advised that after three surgeries, multiple chemo cocktail changes, and one medical trial the time has come to stop treatment. So the time has come for us to help this beautiful family the way they would help all of us.
