Nancy Kaufman's Cancer Journey

On December 22nd 2023, my mom, Nancy Kaufman was diagnosed with breast cancer. Ductal Carcinoma in situ. This all started with her routine annual mammogram. The cancer is early and localized. She will need surgery and possibly medicine afterwards to keep it from coming back.

My mom only works part time and will have to be on short term disability to recover from her surgery. She will need help with lost wages, appointment co-pays, deductible for surgery, coinsurance payments, medications, as well as regular monthly bills and expenses. We are asking for your help in any way. I would love to remove the financial burden from her mind so she can focus on her cancer recovery journey and not worry about our finances.

Surgery is scheduled for January 30th. She will require 6 to 8 weeks of recovery before she can return to work. She will meet with a medical oncologist after surgery to discuss the path forward to stay cancer free.
