Help the Sweet Family Fight Brain
Leanne is a 33 year old oncology nurse and mother of 2 young girls who was recently diagnosed with Glioblastoma multiforme. This is the most devastating and aggressive form of brain cancer. She had a craniotomy on Jan 7 for what at the time was believed to be a benign mass. Unfortunately once the surgeon was in surgery he saw a much different situation. The surgery has left Leanne with right sided facial paralysis, deafness, and has had to have her eye permanently sewn shut. She and her family are currently traveling back and forth to MD Anderson for diagnostics and treatment which is a four hour commute. Her husband, Nick, is an EMT and is unable to work most shifts because being away from his family for 24 hours is impossible. Any help to this young family would be a blessing and greatly appreciated.
