As a healthy young mother of 5 kiddos going to my primary doctor for annual checkup was no concern for me. So, when he noticed a lipoma I told him it was no big deal and that I’ve had it for 30 years, since childhood. He referred me to a surgeon who then referred me to get an MRI and that's when I received
the dreaded call of cancer. That surgeon referred me to a oncology surgeon.
A little background knowledge on myself - I have always been a strong Christian woman and this is where my faith began to grow and be stretched. I prayed and believed the Lord Jesus telling me how he had done amazing miracles in Gailalee and this would be no different from him working to heal me and help me maintain a strong and healthy body to help fight my cancer off. I prayed for God to remove the cancer from my body take it away.
The night before I met with my new surgeon my lipoma opened up and began draining. The next day, I met with the surgeon who scheduled surgery within 24 hours. On July 5th, he told me he felt that he could say it was sarcoma - a rare cancer - and that upon removing it, it was dead. Nothing was attached to it upon surgery removal. This was a amazing testimony that God had healed me, he did it and used my surgeon to cut it out of my body. Following surgery, my surgeon requested a PET scan immediately. He said everything looked great but there were some questionable areas in the groin. I was not concerned since God healed me and told me I was fine. I was then refered to radiation oncology and oncology for treatment. These physicians referred me to MD Anderson in Houston.
I will be going soon and I have five kiddos entering school this fall and I am a stay at home mom... so how will I do all of this? Who will help with meals and homework for my kids? How will I pay for travel to Houston? How will I pay for treatment? How will I pay for the surgery? All of these questions I directed to God and asked for his intervention. In addition to him healing all disease and cancer from my body, I asked him to provide whatever I need and whatever my family needs to complete this journey of survival. God is great and is setting my steps up accordingly and in faith, I trust God and my physicians. I have to ask others to help me financially so I can continue to do my part and help me provide for my family. My husband may or may not be able to be with me at treatment as our children would be home alone. So I ask for help financially, to get other family members to fly or to help me to fly out and do treatment and allow my husband to be home with our children. This will be all done without assistance and your commitment to helping our family will be part of the testimony of gods great timing and grace on my cancer survivor story.thank you all for your support and God bless!!
