Donna’s Resilience

Hello this is Stephanie Cole, Donna Beasley’s sister. Infection has reoccurred in Donna’s hips and she is in need of support.
The following is Donna’s “Job Journey”.......
9 Hip Surgeries, Prayerfully only 1 More to Go!
Donna moved to TN in October 2015. She had prior hip pain, but after moving it was determined that she needed a hip replacement in both hips.
Round 1 and 2: Donna’s first surgery was her left hip replacement in July 2016. About three weeks later it was determined that she had a staff infection and the hip had to be reopened and cleaned out. That was surgery two.
Round 3: Donna’s third surgery was her right hip replacement in December of 2016.
Round 4 to 7: Around July 2017 it was determined that Donna had a staff infection in her left hip. She had surgery to remove the the prosthetic and a temporary hip put in. She had other complications which caused her to have 2 additional surgeries on her left hip. She was in the hospital for about four weeks. Donna had her permanent left hip surgery December 2017.
Donna was doing ok until she was following up with the doctor for pain on 6/23/18, and had to be hospitalized due to a 103 degree temperature. After tests it showed she had an infection in both hips.
Round 8: Donna had surgery on 6/28/18 to remove the right prosthetic, and it was replaced with a temporary.
Round 9: Donna had surgery to replace parts from the left prosthetic and the womb cleaned on 7/3/18. She is now recovering with bilateral hip surgeries which is very painful. She will be in rehabilitation for the next six weeks because she has a antibiotic pick line.
Round 10: Will be upcoming in three months. This will be the permanent replacement of Donna’s right hip.
I’m reaching out to you because Donna
does not have any paid leave remaining, nor does she have short term disability. She will also have extra hospital bills which she was not expecting.
Some of you may not be able to financially support Donna, but you can support her with your prayers and calls. She has her moments when she says “I don’t know how much more I can take” especially when the pains are high and her funds are low. For those of you that can make a monetary donation, thank you in advanced for the contribution. If you would like to donate with a check, please contact me or Donna, and we will provide you a mailing address. Donna has been through a lot, but God has kept her though it all.
