Helping my son

Hi my name is Roger and my son Eli was in an accident on 6/11/2018 where another driver ran a stop sign in front of him and he hit her broadside. He suffered a compression fracture on one of his vertebrae along with a broken blood vessel in his knee. He has been healing ok but is still sore and time will tell if he recuperates fully. We are uncertain about the other driver but hope and pray she is recoupertaing fine.
However, this go fund me is not about his physical health but helping him get back out in life.
He is 22  now and has hope's of becoming an auto mechanic. Before the accident he's rebuilt or fixed several cars then traded up to nicer ones. The last one, now totaled, was a sweet Subaru he was very proud of.
Unfortunately he was under our insurance at the time and we could not afford anything other than PLPD due our own medical debts, and with Michigan's 'no-fault' insurance there is no recourse for recouping the cost of your vehicle even when you weren't at fault. He did receive a 'mini-tort' claim of $1000, a fraction of his cars worth, which he was able to put towards another car with a bad engine.
I'm starting this go fund me to help him purchase the necessary parts so he can get his new car on the road and get him back into the path he was on in life, before this all happened.
