Trevor Whitman Brain Trauma Recovery
Donation protected
Sunday, July 1st, Trevor Whitman had an accident while riding his “one wheel” that left him unconscious. After the fire department had checked him out he was rushed to the closest emergency room. Unfortunately there was more trauma than expected and he had to be transported by ambulance to the Abrazo trauma canter in Goodyear, AZ where a great trauma team worked on him. Trevor had a 4” fracture in his skull and was also suffering from an acute epidural hematoma ( hemorrhaging artery in the brain cavity) We were told that not only was Trevor lucky to be alive but because of the location of the bleeding he should be deaf, and blind in his right eye. God is good! After a few days we were told the bleeding has stopped and Trevor was making a miraculous recovery. He should be back to 100% with some therapy in about three months!
Now we have to deal with the other part of life. We all know the bills don’t stop just because you have an accident, in fact they get worse. Trevor is a good kid and is trying to do things his way without much help from his parents. His plan was to earn a bachelors degree and enter the Air Force as an Officer. His dream was to be a fighter pilot and fly for his country but that dream is now impossible because the Air Force will not accept anyone who has had a traumatic brain injury. He was living in Phoenix during summer so he could work and save money to go back to school in flagstaff in August. Because of this accident he is unable to work and might not be able to afford school next semester. With this in mind a little goes a long way, any donations are greatly appreciated! We would like to thank everyone for the prayers and support through this difficult time. Your love is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
