Raelyn's Cancer Fund

This letter is being written for Raelyn Rowland. She is the daughter of Raymond and Nicole Rowland. Raelyn has three sisters, one brother, and she is the youngest of the five. The family currently resides in Dayton, Ohio and Christ is the head of their life. Raymond is the head of his family and currently works with children’s with disabilities. He says, as for me and my household, we are going to serve the Lord. Raelyn is fourteen years old and attends Stiver’s School of the Arts for creative writing. She is currently an honor student and participates in soccer and basketball. Raelyn attends Mount Carmel United Holy Church where she participates in the choir and attends bible study weekly.

During Raelyn’s soccer practice, in March of 2015, she started having stomach pains. She was immediately taken to Children’s Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. They proceeded to take x-rays, however, they did not discover anything; they led her to believe it had to do with her bowels. Little did they know that once soccer practice started at the beginning of the next school year the stomach pains started to become visible again. The sports therapist immediately told her parents to take her to the doctor and have her checked out. The therapist had discovered knots in Raelyn’s stomach. Once she was taken back to Children’s Medical center, they diagnosis her with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a childhood disease. They discovered she has reached stage three of this cancer. As the doctor’s continued to run test, they later discovered they mis-diagnosed her after consulting with Sloan Cancer Center located in New York, New York. She now has Desmoplastic which is a rare disease and is much more aggressive then her first diagnosis. It was later announced that she has reached stage four.

This disease has a 20% chance of being cured and if she is cured she may or may not live past five years. We are praying daily for Gods healing along with the treatments that she must have. Raelyn has to attend New York for her treatment that will last a year or longer. Her parents are struggling daily to maintain. They will need help because her parents will not be working during her time of treatments. How can we pretend that we don’t know what’s going on? Every second of every minute another soul is gone to cancer. We believe that in our lives, starting with Raelyn, that we will see an end to hopelessness, of giving up, and suffering. If we all stand together this one time for cancer then no one will get left behind. We shall stand up for life and love to find a cure for cancer. Let’s help by donating and giving whatever you can to help support the family while she’s being treated.  It would definitely be a blessing to Raelyn and her family. Thanks to all in advance and God bless.
