Help Empower the Developmentally Disabled!

Tax deductible
Our goal is to support and raise awareness for the countless individuals who are affected by intellectual or developmental disabilities. We strive to empower adults who have struggled throughout their life with these disabilities to learn intangibles that they missed out on throughout their lives. You could gives these individuals the opportunity to know what it’s like to be integrated into real world experiences and have independence.
My uncle; Tracy Cooper, has dealt with intellectual and developmental disabilities his entire life. He is now 48 years old and has unfortunately missed out on a ton of real world experiences. He struggles with everyday activities as well as with reading and writing. Due to his struggles, he has lived at home his entire life until recently. Tracy recently moved into "Willow River Farm group home" which is the physical location home for the Center of Pursuit. During his short time there so far, he has been going to classes, interacting with others and learning how to use a cellphone, operate a computer as well as operating everyday intangibles such as the kitchen sink/dishwasher and the bathroom sinks/showers. Tracy is already being integrated into real world experiences and learning to do things on his own. The Center of Pursuit is giving the power back to Tracy, giving him a home where he can experience life.

Help us help individuals such as Tracy gain opportunities they've never had before and future individuals looking to make a home at the Center of Pursuit. Many people struggle with intellectual and developmental disabilities and therefore have never had the chance to learn after high school. Much of these individuals after highschool sit at home all day or wait all day till their caretaker can take them to do an activity. In a lot of ways, these individuals become an afterthought and are deprived of opportunities. The Center of Pursuit helps these individuals fulfill their potential and no longer sees them as an afterthought. The Center of Pursuit puts these individuals first, wanting to see them learn and grow every single day as they give them real world opportunities they never had the chance to obtain.
