Mission Trip to South Africa

I am blessed with the opportunity, this summer to travel to South Africa to run the Comrades Marathon “The Ultimate Human Race”. The Comrades Marathon is a tough 56-mile ultramarathon race. For this journey, I joined Team World Vision. Their focus is on tackling the causes of poverty and helping children, families, and communities in need. I teamed up with World Vision to help find sponsors for precious children in need. My goal is to get a minimum of one child sponsored for each one of those miles that I will be running (56). Getting a child sponsored helps provide them with clean water & sanitation, education, nutritious food, health care, economic development, and child protection.

What makes this trip so special, is that I will be visiting some of those communities that the children live in, meeting them, and seeing firsthand the impact that we are making with these donations!

I hope that with your help we can change at least a minimum of 56 lives together, forever!
