Help Emma get her life back

My name is Kari Olstad. I am raising funds for my best friend Emma. We met in Arkansas where we both got treatment for a disease called CRPS. It stands for Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and it is the most painful chronic pain condition known in science today.

I am in remission now, but unfortunately Emma is not, and we need your help. Emma had to stop her treatment because they ran out of funds. Treatment is taking longer than we hoped for her, but she is also suffering from POTS, EDS, MCAS and gastroparesis which makes it a little harder. I saw Emma’s progress for weeks and I’ve never seen someone fight so hard to get their life back. I saw her run and swim for the first time in 4 years. In her last weeks of treatment, they found out more about her GI issues and the treatment they started for it worked really well. For the first time in over a year we knew that at some point Emma will be able to live without a feeding tube or TPN which is amazing!!!

Emma has been through all the treatments that they offer in Norway multiple times with no effect. She is currently getting her nutrition through a feeding tube and a Picc line that goes to her heart. She is bed bound most of the time and can’t do much. We are trying to get her back to treatment as soon as possible.

It is hard to watch someone you love suffer like this, but we are all very hopeful that Emma will get her life back. It would mean so much to us if you could help us out.
