Medical bills and recovery

Hello, my name is Carissa. My Mom, Julie, landed in the hospital Monday, February 13th with pains/cramping and a fever that would come and go. The doctors discovered she has a hole/abcess in her colon. They have her on antibiotics but her symptoms are still present and there is a possibility she will need surgery. At this time, we are unsure when she will be discharged from the hospital. We are hopeful for Sunday if surgery isn't needed. Julie has already missed a week of work, unsure of how much more work will be missed to recover completely, and will have an out of pocket bill for at least $3,000, up to $8,150 . My Mom helps anyone when she is able and I want to be able to help take this stress off her shoulders so she can just focus on healing. Anything helps. Thank you so much.
