5th Annual Teddy Rushing Ruck March
Tax deductible
November 11, 2011, 2nd Platoon Charlie Troop 3-71 Cavalry 3rd Brigade Combat Team 10th Mountain Division was struck by a dismounted improvised explosive device. The explosion took the life of Private First Class Theodore Rushing (“Tink”).
I was directly behind Tink and can still recount the following moments as if it were yesterday. Rushing was intelligent, funny and he knew how to light up a room. From his personality to his infectious laugh, he constantly drew the attention of those around him. He was a hardworking, resilient soldier who every day tried to get better than he was the day before.
This year is our 5th year in action, and the Rushing family and I want to remember Tink’s sacrifice by supporting Tunnels to Towers. Our goal this year is to reach $5,000!
Tunnel to Towers (T2T) helps provide mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children by building custom-designed smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders. We are also committed to eradicating veteran homelessness and aiding the victims of major U.S. disasters.
Join me as I choose to celebrate Teddy and the impact he has had, as well as the sacrifice he and the Rushing family have made for this great nation, as I continue the tradition of raising money in his honor. Please like, share, donate and help us remember those who gave all!
