Ex-Muslims of North America (EXMNA) is helping kick-start a new, global organization dedicated exclusively to support and give voice to Ex-Muslim Somalis.
Even relative to other Muslim-majority ethnicities, the Somali community is extremely intolerant of religious dissent. Somalis who leave the faith face particularly devastating consequences... some are beaten, abused, even forced into religious "conversion" camps.
However, all hope is not lost. Ex-Muslim Somali leaders are stepping up to change their communities and mitigate the costs others face.
Halima Salat, the founder and organizer of Ex-Muslim Somali Voices, has worked hard to give voice to and assist Somalis who have left their faith, even coordinating heroic international rescues.
To continue her work, Halima needs your help.
EXMNA will match, dollar for dollar, each donation to Ex-Muslim Somali Voices, upto $5,000. This means the money you give today will have DOUBLE the impact. The funds will be used to help the new group set up basic infrastructure, an outreach program, and give them a small pool of funds to use when assisting Somali ex-Muslims in danger.
