The Big C!

This is Chris, A.K.A. Key West Chris, musician and author based in Key West. At Dani's suggestion, we set up this Go Fund Me page, as we don't know exactly what the future may hold, regarding the legnth of time of recovory on my liver cancer procedure, which takes place on Monday, May 22.

When the diagnosis started started back in October, it was flowed with an operation just after Thanksgiving, which removed cancer from my colon. The liver however, would require more. I went into chemo in January and that took me into March. This is followed by the liver operation where they say they will remove 1/3 of my liver. That's the plan at this stage. Providing there are no surprises, or complications, after about a month, I'll go back into chemo for five treatments.

As a guitarist, chemo is bizzar. The issue is holding on to the pick. After about 2/3 of the gig, the damn thing starts rolling around and becomes really difficult to hold on to. I write this on May 21st. I stopped chemo in March and last night was the first gig that didn't happen. I'm not looking forward to this happening again.

We've been paying our health issues dues this year. Dani has had her issues and I'm dealing with these two C issues with the colon and liver.

All in all, I've been able to keep playing gigs and writing books. The future at the moment is an unknown.
