Help Matthew Leung's Road to Recovery!

Matthew Leung, a 51-year-old Asian man, was waiting at a bus stop after shopping when a man with a bicycle approached him. Being his usual friendly self, Matthew asked the man what bus number are you taking. The man responded with a bus number and said he was going to shop for shoes. About 5 minutes later, the man became aggressive and took Matthew's walking cane, and began brutally beating him for no apparent reason. (We can only assume that this man is suffering from some mental health problems.) Matthew suffered a head concussion, which required stitches. In the process of shielding his face with his hand, Matthew lost a part of his finger. A good samaritan found Matthew lying on the ground bleeding and immediately called 911.
Matthew has been a paraprofessional at Gates Street Elementary for over 20 years. With budget cuts in public schools, his hours were reduced drastically. He is the kindest and hardworking person who will go out of his way to help the students and our school community. He suffered a freak car accident as a young adult that left him permanently handicapped.
Due to a limited income, Matthew is experiencing extreme financial hardship. Please consider donating to help him on his road to recovery from this unprovoked attack.
Matthew has a sister, Vivian, who has been by his side since their grandmother and parents passed away. She is the only sibling he has. Through the years, Vivian has helped him financially every month to make ends meet. She will be the recipient to oversee the monthly expenses he incurs.
