Battle of the Dark Side: Ryan Fights Colon Cancer

Donation protected
Ryan is a father. He is a husband, a son and a brother. He is a grandson and an uncle and a nephew. He is a brother-in-law, a Godson and a Godfather. He is a child of God. He is needed, wanted and LOVED by many.

Hearing the word “Cancer” may seem commonplace in our world today, but I promise you, when you hear that diagnosis associated with someone you love, your world shifts and lives are forever changed. Well that happened for us on Thursday, April 4th, 2019 when Ryan was diagnosed with colon cancer and since that date, none of our lives have been the same.

For those that know Ryan, they know him as a Jesus-loving man. He lives his life with Jesus at the forefront and makes his life decisions in that same manner. To say we are all shocked and devastated by Ryan’s diagnosis is an understatement. None of us were prepared for those words after his visit to the ER for abdominal pain and constipation. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, can prepare a family for the evil, unrelenting devises of cancer and everything that goes along with it. Cancer is a thief of many things: joy, laughter, peace, security, stability, finances, dreams, balance, simplicity, and above all else, life. Cancer can waver the faith of the best of men, but not Ryan’s. He stands firm in his promise of eternal life with Jesus, and he will fight this fight with that exact same fervor.

Ryan is standing up to fight cancer, along with his wife, Theresa, who does not waiver in the face of cancer or any of its implications. They have a family of warriors standing right behind them, ready to hold him up when needed. Their 2 young children, Chloe (10) and Hayden (7) want to grow up with their daddy right beside them. He has A LOT to do in this life yet, including seeing his babies graduate, and walking his daughter down the aisle, so we are asking EVERYONE that loves and knows Ryan, as well as those of you that don’t, but feel compelled to help the sweetest of families, to please help him fight this fight. There are a few different ways we are humbly asking for help: One, please consider donating financially to Ryan and his family. He will be travelling to Mayo to receive the care he needs for his late stage, aggressive, rare type of colon cancer. Since he is out of network, it is not likely insurance will cover much, if any, of his treatments. Besides the cost of treatment, there are the burdens of travel, lost wages at work, and trying to get Theresa and his children there with him as often as possible.  Secondly and above all else, we are requesting prayers. The more the better. God will continue guiding Ryan through this seemingly impossible battle, but we know he can prevail. When you go to sleep at night, please ask God to keep on carrying Ryan through this.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, for any donations and ALL prayers. Ryan and his family have a long road ahead of them, but we will NOT give up!
