London Marathon 2025
Hi My Name is Trina
I Cannot believe im writing this but this year im running the London Marathon 2025!
I've been running for about 8 years on and off but more seriously the last 3 years. I'm 45yrs old and have completed over 100 10km races and 4 Half Marathons.
I've entered the ballot 5 times for London and never been successful.
So a huge Thank You to my Running Club MonRoss Trailblazers for our club place.
All the hard work starts now.
I'm going from hospital discharge in December to London marathon ready in 4 months. I'm committed now
The easiest thing for me is when it came to choosing a charity...
Those who know me know that I would be lost with out my bestest floofter Jedi. He quite literally saved me, coming into my life in 2020 when I had lost so much. He was and is my best friend...no questions.
He deserves the world!
You can't put a price on the unconditional love you get from animals.
I want to help so many loveable dogs get the best care, and the best chance to find their forever homes.
I'm choosing to raise money in aid of Many Tears Rescue and i would really appreciate if you would join me in supporting this deserving charity.
There is true dedication, hard work and love that go into caring, fostering and rehoming the dogs that enter the rescue centre.
I really hope you can help support me and Many Tears Rescue over my 16 weeks training with donations and sharing this page far and wide.
I know it will help me push through to my 26.2 miles race day, knowing we are all working together for a great cause.
The money raised is going directly to Many Tears from GoFundMe
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me. ❤️
About this amazing charity:
Many Tears Animal Rescue (MTAR) is based in Carmarthenshire, Wales but has dogs in foster homes throughout the UK. They take in and rehome primarily ex-breeding dogs who are no longer required; those on "death row" in the pounds and those whose owners are no longer able to keep them.
They are a unique rescue in that the majority of their dogs are ex-breeders and many have never seen the outside world before. With the help of their staff, fosterers and other volunteers they provide a special and loving environment to help all their dogs adapt and find permanent, loving new homes. All potential adopters are interviewed and homes vetted and they do their utmost best to find the right home for each dog. The rescue has grown considerably since it first opened and now homes in excess of 3,000 dogs a year.
All our dogs are spayed/neutered, micro chipped, inoculated and wormed but in addition to this they get many dogs in need of specialist veterinary care. Some of the most frequent problems they encounter are dogs who arrive there with eye and heart problems, along with those with liver shunts and joint problems. Any treatment that is required is financed by donations to the rescue which enable them to ensure each dog receives the specialist care it needs.
