Hello, my name is Joe. On the early morning of May 15th, my younger sister Ramona ended her life. She was a single mother of 4 children: Makayla, 20; Cameron, 16; and twin girls, Jordan and Madison, 14.
Prior to her death, the 3 younger children had been removed from their mother's home by CPS. They are currently living in foster care. My sister and I were estranged for the past 15 years. As this tragedy unfolds, there is a clear message: we have a chance to help create a healthier life for these young people. I'm asking you all who read this to try and imagine what these kids' lives have been like, leading up to a CPS intervention. And I'm asking for your help. Any contribution, any amount is meaningful.
We are setting up a fund to help them get through the coming months and years. We can all send the message together that we care. We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to read this message. Thank you.
