DAKOTA - help with medical bills

Tesa's Rescue is raising funds to hopefully cover the medical bills of an urgent case we've been alerted about.

Meet beautiful Dakota, an 11-year-old mixed-breed rescue dog with a heart warming story. She was found as a stray on the streets of Greece when she was just 6 months old, emaciated and alone. Dakota’s life changed forever when her loving owner rescued her, and she has been a cherished member of the family ever since. Despite her difficult start in life, Dakota has always been healthy and happy—until recently.

Over the past five months, Dakota has been experiencing troubling symptoms, including blood in her stool and straining during bowel movements. After trying special diets, medications, and treatments, there’s still no improvement. Her vet now believes the only way to find out what’s truly going on is through an endoscopy, a procedure that could uncover polyps, ulcers, or worse, a mass that needs immediate attention. The cost of this procedure is overwhelming, ranging from £400 to £1,200 or more depending on what they find. Dakota's owner has already spent everything she could on special diets and treatments and has £500 saved, but this will barely cover the procedure's costs, let alone any follow-up care if something serious is discovered. Dakota is a sweet, loving dog who adores other animals (especially cats!) and is deeply bonded with her human family. She means the world to her owner, who is at her wits' end trying to figure out how to afford this crucial medical care.
