Raising Money for Santosh's Treatment
Donation protected
Back in June (2021) Santosh a father of two and an IT Director started to feel unwell. Over the course of a few short weeks he became a shadow of his former fit and healthy self.
Following a visit to a specialist and some subsequent tests we received a diagnosis that shocked us all - he was diagnosed with DIPG High Grade which is an extremely rare and aggressive brain tumour. This devastating news shocked everyone, but what followed was even more devastating, it was inoperable.
Despite this, he has spent every second, of every day, fighting. In the five months since his diagnosis he has had to endure endless weeks of aggressive treatments, some days these treatments made him so poorly he couldn't manage the most basic of tasks such as eating, walking or talking. After finishing the most recent course of treatment he had another MRI to check progress, which is when we received another piece of devastating news. The Radiotherapy had not been effective and Chemotherapy was no longer an option. Since then, his health has continued to rapidly decline.
BUT we've received some hope...
His Oncologist suggested a medicine that could shrink the tumour and improve his overall condition to give him more time and a better quality of life. The medicine is not available in the UK but can be sourced from Germany and is our last hope. Following a conversation with a Consultant over there we have successfully managed to get the medication prescribed to him.
The downside to this news is that the medicine costs £4,000GBP per month, and if it works this will be an ongoing expense that will cost in the region of £48,000GBP per year. For this reason, we have set up this Go Fund Me Page to help fund this life saving treatment. Unfortunately there is no help available to pay for the medicine and every penny has to be personally funded.
Santosh has positively impacted everyone around him, he is a great husband, amazing father, family man, friend and colleague. He makes us laugh, makes us smile and gives the best advice. He's humble, smart, loyal, adventurous and honest, but more importantly he is one of life's special people and he really needs our help.
Please give whatever you can and pass this appeal on so we can raise as much money as possible to support Santosh in his fight and keep him with us for as long as possible.
And finally, thank you so much for reading/donating/passing this appeal on, any action, big or small will mean the world of difference to Santosh.
