Hi, I'm Kim Loiler, good friend of Wendy Cunningham.
It is with extreme sadness that we share the passing of Wendy Cunningham on June 23, 2022. She went to heaven into the loving arms of our savior Jesus Christ. What a welcome in heaven she received!
Wendy was a bright light in this world and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She fought a courageous battle with ovarian cancer for 4 ½ years all the while working full time, taking care of her family and spending time with her numerous friends, cultivating new relationships, her hobbies and spending time with the Lord. During her health struggle, she never felt sorry for herself. Many people have said, “why you Wendy?” she replied “why not me?”
Her passing has caused deep sorrow for her family, friends and community as she touched so many lives in her short 55 years. A selfless woman who was always more concerned with others before herself until the very end. Her legacy will be one of friendship, love and service.
I’ve created this GoFundMe to help support John, Haley, Nikki and Drew as they navigate the coming days, weeks and months. As John and Wendy were a two income family, not having her income will be an adjustment and having some monetary help in that transition and with her funeral/memorial plans will lift a burden from this family in their time of need.
No matter what Wendy faced she did so with grace and always gave it to the Lord and for that example I’m personally thankful and I know that was the key to her living her life with such purpose and a positive attitude as she knew exactly what she believed in and where she was going. She ran this race called life taking each day, each moment as it came.
On behalf of the Cunningham family, they are so grateful for all the love, thoughts and prayers. Her memorial date will be determined in the coming days. On a personal note, I’m so grateful and blessed to have known this sweet dear friend of mine for ten short years as it’s never enough time but I knew how much I was loved by her and she knew how special and loved she was by me. I will forever be changed by my friendship with Wendy and I will miss her each and every day until I see her again face to face.
Life here will never be the same, but it is better because of Wendy. She had unshakeable faith and when asked how she was, she would always undoubtedly say “it’s all good.” Wendy, you are now “all good.” Last night, I’m certain she heard the words, “well done good and faithful servant, well done.”
P.S. I set this goal of 50K in hopes of achieving it but the family appreciates any contribution you are able to make. 100% of this fundraiser will go directly to John. Please keep the family in your prayers.
