Building the Future of Wind

In 2020 Wind Youth Services served over 1,400 homeless and homeless at-risk youth – an extraordinary achievement during the COVID-19 pandemic. To continue supporting homeless youth during these challenging times and well into the future, Wind is embarking on an ambitious fund-raising campaign called Building the Future of Wind. This campaign will allow us to secure funding to fully purchase our cornerstone facility located at 815 S Street in downtown Sacramento. We cannot do this alone and we need your help to reach the lofty 4.4-million-dollar goal.
Building the Future of Wind is more than creating a permanent home for Wind. It also means building a stable and permanent future for youth experiencing homelessness. At the 13,919 sq. ft. location, youth receive essential services such as warm meals, access to showers, laundry facilities, and access to shelters. Additional support services also available are individualized case management, mental health counseling, employment and education assistance, procuring essential documents, clothing, life skills improvement workshops, medical clinic and assistance with obtaining long-term housing. Every square foot of the building is utilized to provide critical services and support central to meeting Wind’s mission of enabling homeless youth to live self-determined lives of stability and independence.
By contributing to the Building the Future of Wind campaign, no matter the amount, you will enable Wind to continuously provide critical services and support and to be a source of safety, security and stability for homeless youth in the Sacramento area.
Contributions by checks are also welcome and payable to:
