Brain Tumor Medical Expenses

Hi everyone, my name is Nicole Palacio and I am holding this fundraiser for my brother Steve Zuniga.

The next 48 hours after this surgery is very critical. He will remain in Neuro ICU.

Today is day 1 in Neuro ICU. A lot is going in trying to keep his blood pressure up to help those blood vessels from clotting.

Blood count is low. Blood Transfusion.

• Today’s Update: Wednesday 08/02/2023

Doctors will continue to keep his blood pressure Elevated to avoid his artery from closing in. A bypass will be an option if needed. We pray that he can heal the artery to avoid this and that the blood flow stablizes itself.

• Today’s Update: Thursday 08/03/2023 Because of a complication from an angiogram he had done today. Steve had to have emergency surgery this morning due to internal bleeding. The bleeding caused a drop in blood pressure and he had stroke causing his brain to swell which also led to an additional surgery Thursday night. We almost lost him. Surgeons removed part of his skull to allow the brain room to swell and return to normal size as to not cause further damage. Steve is so strong and did well during these surgeries. He is currently stable in ICU.

My brother has a long recovery ahead of him, but we have faith God will help him through this. He isa fighter.

Our family will be spending a lot of time with Steve at the hospital. Our hope is to help collect donations for our parents so they are able to spend time with my brother at the hospital without the worry of bills and expenses at home. I’m asking all my family and friends to please consider a donation to my parents to help ease this burden.
