Hormone therapy and surgery

Hi, my name is Roove and I’m a 20 year old trans man about to go through hrt. As some may know being a trans person and receiving medical care for transitioning is not easy and can become very costly.

Going privately for many is the only option and has become the only option for me as the waiting times on the NHS can be longer than 5 years just for a first appointment. I am with a private clinic in London, however my GP has refused shared care which would have reduced the cost of my medication significantly. It could take many months to find a GP who will provide shared care and this is made even harder by the fact I am a student that has to travel and spend long periods of time away from home.

Any extra money will go towards funding top surgery which is also very costly at and I will hugely benefit from. If you’re not able to donate that’s okay, sharing will also be helpful. Thank you for taking the time to read this. :)
