Hi everyone, I’m doing a fund raiser for one of my closest friends, Deborah Griffin. As many of you may know, Deborah was diagnosed in June of last year with cancer of the appendix. She went through several rounds of treatment and was in remission until a few months ago. The cancer is back and it has metastasized to others areas. She is getting ready to face an enormous fight with treatments starting soon at Duke. If anyone can beat this devastating disease it’s Deb. She’s the strongest and most courageous person I know. She’s always there for everyone else and now it’s time to fight this fight with her!! Please help us pray that her story is victorious!!
A note from Deborah❤️:
“To say I’m overwhelmed by the love, prayers and support I have received over the last year and especially these last few months would be an understatement…I’m totally speechless. I am so humbled by your support during this difficult time. I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your prayers and monetary help as I battle cancer once again. I am so fortunate to have such a supportive family, friends and coworkers…I am truly blessed by your generosity and kindness. I know that I am not alone in this fight, and your support means the world to me. God is in control and prayer changes things. Your prayers have given me strength and hope. Again, I am so grateful for your generosity and love. I am currently receiving chemotherapy treatments at Carolina Oncology, and will take the last treatment on 10/18. I will be going back to Duke on 10/25 for further testing to determine where we go from here. I know that I have a long journey ahead, so your prayers will continue to be so important as they are giving me strength and hope during some of my darkest days. Knowing that you are all thinking of me and praying for me means the world to me. Thank you again for everything. I am so blessed to have you all in my life. With love, Deborah Griffin”
