Help 5-year-old Emma fight Leukemia

On April 12, 2024, the Reynolds family received heartbreaking news that their beloved, sweet 5-year-old daughter Emma has been diagnosed with cancer. All we know at this time is that Emma has Leukemia and will need to undergo several treatments including, chemotherapy. The same night (April 12th) the basement of their home flooded, causing significant damage and loss of property (when it rains it pours.)

Emma is currently at SickKids Hospital in Toronto receiving the best possible care. Although Emma’s only wish is to go home, arrangements are currently being made for Emma to reside at the SickKids, Toronto, Ronald McDonald house, where she will remain for at least the next month.

As many of you know, the Reynolds family is a huge part of the Elmvale community. Ryan owns and operates the local Foodland grocery store and Amanda is currently on maternity leave with baby Jack. As owners of a family business, the Reynolds’ put a lot of time, effort, and resources into their store. With Emma’s diagnosis and on-going treatments in downtown Toronto, their entire focus will be on Emma and her health (as it should.)

Ryan and Amanda are truly kind, loving and generous people. I have been best buddies with Ryan since we were almost Emma’s age. I know a lot of people will want to help them.

We are raising funds to help ease the burden on Ryan and Amanda who will be travelling back and forth to Toronto, taking time away from work and incurring many unforeseen costs such as medications, day-to-day expenses while in the city and now their newly flooded basement.
