Help us lay Eugene Zachary Lopez to rest...

Our beloved Eugene Zachary Lopez passed on July 29th, 2020 at the age of 28, succumbing to a long battle against COVID19. Today marked his 47th and final day in the hospital, 40 of which were in isolation, as no visitors were allowed on site for much of his time there. It is of no surprise to anyone that he fought so hard for so long – he was known for being strong-willed and a fighter.  Despite this, after spending most of his time in the hospital on a ventilator, fighting a chronic fever, decreasing respiratory function, a collapsed lung, and his heart stopping, his fight came to an end and now his family wants nothing more than to lay him to rest.

Zach was a wonderful son, brother, father, and friend, who touched the lives of those around him. He leaves behind four children – Amie Marie, Armani Zachary, David Mathew & Julius Pierre; girlfriend – Clarissa Lorane; mother – Lorenza Nevarez; and siblings – Valerie Jasso, Jazmin Nevarez, & Jennifer Lopez.

Zach was deeply dedicated to his family. He was an incredibly hard worker, extremely outgoing, and a very loving person to all those he met.

We are all devastated by Zach’s loss - no one ever imagines losing someone this way, at such a young age. The circumstances have left the family with incredibly hard decisions to make and a lot of challenges moving forward, as we were not prepared for the high costs of health care and the funeral service. We want to give Zach the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes.

We are currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Zach’s funeral and health care expenses, which are projected to be ~$10,000.00
