Water is Life for Samara, Mom & Dad

WATER IS LIFE and It's all about survival and helping those around you!  This GoFundMe has been set up to help a family in crisis since their well pump and casing broke on May 18, 2018, requiring a new well.  This is for Samara, Jennifer and Truman Whiting and being created by friends to help in the costs to get water and for their survival.

A local Front Range Colorado family living in the rural area of Fort Lupton, Colorado, on a small farm with a 5-year old daughter (Samara), horses, chickens, and a dog lost their only source of water when the pump for their 900 plus ft. well broke on May 18, 2018. After several attempts at fixing and retrieving the pump, they learned that their old well is beyond repair and is not up to modern code anyway. They have been without water since just before Mother's Day this year.  Can you imagine?

They cannot flush a toilet. Wash a hand. Brush teeth. Shower. Water chickens. Water their garden. Wipe a counter. Make a cup of tea. Wash a dish. Rinse a spoon. Cook pasta. If you have trouble imagining this, just try to go one hour in your own life without using water. Try two. Try half a day. Imagine a week and now months. Now add a child. Now add a stomach bug. Add cleaning out a chicken coop sweaty and covered in feathers and dust. Their wonderful neighbors are filling the horse trough through the adjacent fence. But that's not sustainable for long term water needs.

Could you imagine enduring this hardship for your family?  Five-year old, Samara, has been a real trooper and keeps rolling with the punches.  Jennifer and Truman (mom and dad), are frazzled and worn out worrying how to get this accomplished and care for their child.  A group of us in the local church are continuing to work towards an end but the 30+ miles this family has to drive to take showers and do laundry at many of our homes is taking its toll.  Few companies are able to dig a well to the required depth of 1080’ feet and bids have ranged $85,000-$140,000 with a two month time frame to drill. They are still seeking more bids. With state regulations to adhere to as well as living in a state where water is precious, this is a continually time-consuming exhausting process.  The new well has to be dug down to 1080 feet so that it reaches the “water pocket” for water to produce completely.  Until this family can find the financing to dig a new well, pour the concrete, install a new pump, and get it hooked up to their plumbing, they NEED water. We want to help. Will you help?

$3, $7 or even $100 or more, any amount you can provide for this family is a blessing.  A few pictures are provided, and with your generous donations, we will supply you with updated pictures of the progress being made during the duration of this entire process.  Thank you so very much!  You are a blessing!!!

Thank you for taking the time to read of this family in need and pray that their water can be restored.
