6th Annual Stop the Hate in the 918
Donation protected
This is the 6th Annual Stop the Hate in the 918! This year we are fortunate to have the support from Sand Springs City Councilman Matt Barnes. He got the Case Community Center to donate their awesome facility to hold the event on February 21, 2023!
Currently we have 8 award winning local artists committed to covering up all Hate, Gang, and Racial tattoos for free! This is just one way we can all give back to our awesome communities in a real life changing way!
We run a judgment-free event where you leave your hate at the door and come away with the second chance you deserve.
Even though this is a free event to the community, we do still have costs. Those being a $500 event license from the state. They will NOT waive this fee.
We also have almost $2500 in pole and drape costs, as well as sanitization and wash station rentals.
We will have to buy all of the marketing literature, flyers, etc.
We will have to rent chairs, extension cords, power stations, etc.
We will have to feed our artists, and volunteers as well for the 1 day event.
This is why we are asking for donations. All of the services we are doing are being done on a 100% volunteer basis, including all materials, tools, skills, etc. Not one artist has asked for payment, showing their generosity and appreciation for our shared communities. They are coming from Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma City, Ada, Mounds, etc to be a part of this, and we couldn't be more humbled.
