60 years of memories burned down in Altadena

Hello, my name is Lorre, and I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart. I live on Marengo Ave in Altadena, and my family's home was tragically lost in the recent Eaton Canyon fires. Like many others in our community, my family is now without a place to call home.
Our house has been a cherished part of our family for over 60 years. It’s where my mother raised my four brothers and me, and where we welcomed countless nieces, nephews, and friends. Today, my disabled husband and I are raising my three young grandchildren in an environment filled with love and memories, but now we are left with the daunting task of rebuilding.
As we navigate this heartbreaking situation, I am reaching out to my community, friends, and anyone who might be willing to lend a helping hand. We are in urgent need of support to help us through these difficult days. We are currently displaced and require essential items such as clothing, shoes, food, and water.
Your generosity can make a significant difference in our lives. Every contribution, no matter how small, is deeply appreciated and will help us take one step closer to rebuilding our home and our lives.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
With gratitude,
Lorre
