60010 Feeds Kids 2023

Hello! We are a group of students from Barrington High School who are fundraising for a mobile food packaging program. 60010 Feeds Kids has a team of ~75 students who coordinate, raise the funds, and organize the food packing event. Our 2023 co-presidents are Himat Sidhu and Olivia Gigilio. The balance of our 2023 leadership team will be determined in the coming months.

In 2017 the Station NJHS class raised money and packaged almost 12,000 meals for hungry children. In 2018, we continued the program and worked with the new NJHS class. Together we raised money and packaged over 21,000 meals! In 2019, we added a high school board to grow the program and mentor Station Middle School's new NJHS class. We raised money for over 39,000 meals. In 2020, 60010 Feeds Kids became an NHS sponsored event at Barrington High School. Due to Covid-19, we held the first Midwest home food packing event and packaged over 72,000 meals. In 2021, we continued to grow and packed over 140,000 meals. In 2022 we packed 85,000 meals!

As always, we are working with Kids Around The World's One Meal program. This is a food packing program that brings together a team of people to help meet the nutritional needs of starving children.
