My name is Tess Abulencia Cameron, the eldest sister of Abegail (Abby) Abulencia Gomez.
On the morning of Saturday August 4th, my sister Abby, brother in-law Mark Gomez and their three children (Adrian, Lux and Dustin) were involved in a multi vehicle crash in Newmarket during a family trip to the beach. Their car was the last vehicle hit in that collision and received the worst of it. My 5 year old niece Lux was critically injured and was taken to hospital while fighting for her life. The 2 other siblings thankfully escaped without major injuries. However, my sister Abby and brother in-law Mark, both suffered serious injuries, with Mark being in critical condition. Unfortunately, after a few days of very tough battle trying hang on to her life, my 5 year old niece Lux succumbed to her injuries and passed away. Multiple surgeries to my sister and brother-in-law is just the very beginning of the healing process for the entire family and there is a long and difficult road ahead to try to put the pieces back together.
We are graciously asking the public to find it in their hearts to help my family with what will be a very difficult journey. Any donations made are appreciated and will help them tremendously.
