60-Year Family Home Lost in Eaton Fire

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Tameka Thompson. I’m the granddaughter of Dorothy Cephus.

My grandmother Dorothy Cephus purchased our family home in Altadena well over 60 years ago. She worked so hard for her home and took great pride in it inside and out.

Thanks to her, 5 generations were raised here in Altadena and were able to call this house our home. Known as “The Hill” it was a safe haven for our entire family as well as friends throughout all of our generations.
On October 20th 2024 we celebrated her 101st birthday and the very next day she passed away.

While we haven’t fully grasped this tremendous loss of her, on January 8th, our family home was burned to the ground by the Eaton Fire.

We are devastated but grateful for all of the memories throughout the decades. By God’s grace, my family evacuated in time, but everything owned is lost. I come humbly asking for assistance with any support that can be provided. Whether financial support for temporary relocation, clothing, water, hygiene or any essentials, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for every kind word, all of the prayers and thoughts. We would also like to extend our thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by this devastating loss of entire city.
