Special Needs bike for Tori! (severe CP)
Donation protected
Tori is 9 years old and was born at 24 weeks and drug addicted. Because of this she has severe spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy, a brain shunt, and developmental delays. We adopted her as a baby and she is the sunshine of our large family.
She is wheelchair bound and cannot sit up on her own, but all she has ever wanted to do is ride a bike! She has asked for a bike the last two years from Santa and can't understand why he didn't bring one and why she can't ride a bike. One day I ran across this bike and couldn't believe it! It has lateral supports so she could sit up and supports for her legs and feet. But most of all it has HANDLEBARS! That is her favorite part, she loves handlebars and to push anything with handles, like grocery carts or other people's wheelchairs, lol!
She loves to be outside and we would love to be able to take her along on a bike ride!
Tori has had a very painful life, she has had repeated brain surgeries to replace malfunctioning shunts, has had three osteotomies on her legs and hips due to her hips dislocating from the high tension in her muscles. Painful therapy, contractures, and a feeding tube in her stomach to help with weight gain.
But in spite of all the doctor and hospital visits, tests, and confinement to a wheel chair, she is happy, funny, a true blessing!
So, I am asking for help to buy this bicycle for my little girl, it is all she asks for and I would love to see her on it some day. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Much love <3
