Support Officer Matt Cooper
Donation protected
On Labor Day, 9/3/2018, Officer Matt Cooper suffered a brain injury from a gunshot wound while answering a shoplifting call. His recovery has been categorized as remarkable. He has progressed to the extent that he has been transferred to the Shepherd Center Rehabilitation Program in Atlanta for physical therapy.
The support from our local community, and around the nation, has been overwhelming. Our family will never be able to say thank you enough. However, there is still a need for continued support for his wife and 2 children. If you feel led to donate, Matt and Kristen, will be forever grateful. If you are unable to donate, please know that all prayers, good vibes, & well wishes are just as powerful.
A goal of $40,000 has been set to help cover any other outstanding costs of Matt's recovery.
