On November 6th, 2023, on his way home from work, Safet Hasic was involved in an accident that left him fighting for his life.

He was cut off by a reckless driver and to avoid hitting anyone, he swerved and hit a median. This accident at first, seemed to result in a totaled work van and minor scrapes/bruises. He very quickly found it, it was a lot worse.

It caused internal tearing and bleeding which ended up requiring emergency surgery. During surgery, doctors discovered that almost half of his blood had bled into his abdomen and because of that, he needed a blood transfusion and a bowl recession. This recession left him with a temporary colostomy bag.

Thankfully, after a week in the hospital and the work of the medical staff at Mercy South, he was able to go home.

As we all know, medical care is expensive and not having any insurance to help cover it makes it even worse. He is left with tons of medical bills and no return to work date as of now.

He is one that has helped everyone any time donations were being collected, so it’s our turn to help him.
