Brittany's Road 2 Recovery

Blue Earth Area Moms group is leading this fundraiser to help one of our own, Brittany Parker, ensure her family has the funds to recieve the treatment that her medical team feels would best attack her encephalitis.

There are so many unknowns in this recovery but one constant that never fails is God's love for us all. Her unwavering faith during this journey is admirable and is a testament to how we can all strive to find the postitive, and beauty no matter what situation we find ourselves going through.

Brittany and her medical team are exploring various options to relieve her symtpoms and find a long-time cure for her encephalitis. With all of these options come increased costs that far exceed their budget. One particular treatment has been deemed the best option for her case, but has been repeatedly denied by insurance so the out of pocket cost is $10,000+. There are other routes to persue but regardless, the cost far exceeds their budget as they've been battling unexpected doctor appts, tests, and treatment since October.

Regardless of which treatment insurance does or doesn't cover, Brittany will still need a basement remodeling project to accomodate for her recovery when she's able to return home to her family (she's currently living at a friends' house to be able to focus directly on her recovery). She desperatly longs to be home with her family but the loud noises of homeschooling 5 kids and overwhelming daily house duties are too much for her handle and to heal at the same time.

Brittany and Christopher would hands down give you the shirt off their back if someone else was in need - now it's our turn to take care of them so they can give Brittany the best possible recovery and be united as a family at their home.

As friends and core members of Blue Earth Area Moms, it's been absolutely heart-breaking to see Brittany battle this condition right in front of our eyes, but we are as determined as ever to stand right by her side through it all and do all that we can to support her family - please join us.
