My mom is the most independent and self-sufficient woman I know. However, at this time, I feel that she would benefit from receiving help financially due to the expenses that are beginning to incur with treatment. She will be on disability for an extended amount of time as she allows to let her body treat and recover. This will reduce her income to 50-60%. The holistic doctor is not covered by insurance. Her BCBS out-of-pocket deductible is about $7000. So whether your support is in the form of prayer, words of encouragement, donating a meal or assisting financially - please know that all is appreciated the same! My mom is not normally one to ask for help and raised me to be the same way, so this is a little uncomfortable for both of us.
