Jack's Volunteer trip to Soweto

My name is Jack Gillett and I am currently a Postgraduate student at the Birmingham Conservatoire. I am trying to raise funds to enable me to be part of  a new international collaborative music project between Birmingham Conservatoire’s String Department and the Cape Gate MIAGI Centre for Music in Soweto, South Africa. Named after the technique of playing a stringed instrument with the bow,
Arco is a project of sharing, learning, building and inspiring and one that will be a privilege to be a part of.  The Arco project aims to provide the benefits and life changing inspiration of music to children in the most deprived circumstances. Through music, I aspire to act as a role model for vulnerable youngsters living in poverty and crime stricken areas.
