Help resurrect the Desperados' broke-down Pussy Wagon

Donation protected
Dear friends,

For many years, the Desperados have carried this strange torch. It's an evolving tradition that has become us: a life that is both trash and art, a particular mayhem that erupts sporadically, especially during months beginning with A. Our complicated love for this mutual explosion binds us together more strongly every year.

Within this womb gestated the Pussy Wagon — that unruly lantern in the dark, borne by rope, lurching behind her bedraggled necklace of Beasts of Burden. She is the matron of the Sausage Fest, the annual, decade-old Thursday morning ratchet rager at the trash fence where we serve stragglers and early birds alike hundreds of hot links, strong coffee, and mimosas, and we bump and grind to real nasty hip hop, funk, soul, and disco.

The 20-foot, tandem axle tractor hauler at the heart of the Pussy Wagon has always been a pain in the ass, a safety hazard, and an overbuilt, tire poppin', brake burnin', spring snappin', janky piece of shit. This year, we're doing something about it! And it's gonna take some money to do it right. So if you've ever loved a Desperado, if you've ever hucked the wagon by her rope, or if you just think you might want to someday, kick us down a little something, would ya? Consider it a waste. What's the most money you've ever wasted?

With your help, we are totally rebuilding the wagon — same exact concept, but with working trailer brakes, totally new floor and steel-framed walls, rolled EMT canopy rings with connectors, a new chandelier AND a big disco ball, built-in mounts for our kickass new speakers, the same big wheels, and thick velvet curtains. We've already stripped it down and rebuilt the frame. It's lighter! Sleeker! Just a little smaller! And lastly, safer! Join us and we'll all ride off into the sunset doing whatever we fucking please!

Besides giving us money, there are some other ways you can help. Get in touch to come up for a work day to help glorify the interior, do some woodworking, lighting, upholstery, or maybe even some welding. Let us know if you have red and pink pillows, a chandelier or sexy light fixtures, fabrication or electrical skills and free time, a disco ball, EMT conduit fittings, a trailer jack, a spare 6-lug wheel rim, some 3/4" plywood, other good lumber, or anything else you think might help!

with love,
the Desperados
