Hope for Haitian Children

On Sunday, November 6th, I'm running the NYC Marathon. I’m running in support of Foyer Espoir Les Enfants, an orphanage and school located in Haiti, that I’ve been involved with for almost 10 years. While the country still hasn’t healed from the 2010 earthquake that devastated Port au Prince, it is again at the forefront of the news, given the recent political uprising and surge of cholera cases.
This incredibly important organization is a critical resource for displaced children in the face of mounting humanitarian crises.
The organization provides shelter and schooling for over 250 children, both within the orphanage and greater community. The school now includes over 250 students. The founder of Foyer Espoir Les Enfants, Mariejo, hopes to continue to expand both the classes offered and population of students reached. This is made possible through donation initiatives like this.
I’m in frequent contact with Mariejo and my good friend, Justin is also involved. While the earthquake brought this to both Justin and my attention, in a country with this level of poverty, there continues to be a need that is even greater today.
I am constantly inspired by Mariejo and her staff and cannot think of a better organization to raise awareness of. Your donation, large or small, will directly provide for a child in need.
On behalf of myself, the children, and staff at Foyer Espoir Les Enfants, I thank you for your generous support.
Sincerely,
Patrick
