In February of 2020 I had a series of terrible headaches that turned out to be a brain tumor the size of a grapefruit, a Grade 3 Anaplastic Astrocytoma. The tumor is inoperable because of its size and location, and my doctors concur that this tumor will drastically shorten my lifespan. They say that there is no cure.
Conventional chemotherapy and radiation treatments have helped manage the tumor but it is on the move again. After more than a year of traditional therapies at Sibley/Johns Hopkins, and a second opinion from Memorial Sloan Kettering offering more of the same, I have chosen a completely different approach focused on gene therapy. Time is of the essence.
I am now in treatment at the Burzynski Clinic in Houston, Texas. The Clinic has had very good success at curing my exact type of cancer but their treatments have not yet gone through all the trials and studies to gain FDA acceptance. My treatment is extremely expensive, but since they haven’t received FDA approvals, they are not covered by my insurance. However, I am very optimistic and have good reason for a positive outcome so I am humbly asking for your help. As a 27 year-old, I don’t have the resources to pay the estimated $150,000 to $200,000 this is likely to cost. I am only here now with the help of my parents.
I plan to win this battle and honestly believe I have found the place that can help me rid my body of this deadly monster. I am literally in the fight for my life and respectfully ask for your generosity and prayers. Please, join me.
Thank you.
