Cheerleading world championships

Hi my name is Emily, I’m 18 years old and have Down’s syndrome.

I am part of a small Special Abilities cheerleading team in Salford, called the Red Hot Superstars and we have been competing in competitions for the last few years.

We found out this week that we have been selected by Sports Cheer England to form the FIRST EVER Team England Special Abilities Unified Pom team and we will REPRESENT ENGLAND in the World Cheerleading Chanpionships which will happen at a Disney resort in Florida in April! This is like the Olympics of cheerleading and I am super proud and excited to have been chosen!

All of us in the team have additional needs so in order for us to be able to go we all have to take a carer with us.

We now have to raise the funds for each of us and a carer to be able to go to Florida and fulfil our dreams!

We currently only have estimates of how much this will cost but we do know it will be thousands!

We will be doing as many things as we can to fundraise and try and make our dreams a reality but if anyone can help in anyway however small then I will be very grateful!

Please help me to make my dream a reality!
