Help Relieve Financial Stress After Car Accident

On February 21, 2022, Adriana Toma and her two daughters (Piper age 17 months and Harper age 3 years old) were traveling South to meet some friends for lunch. On their journey down Adriana hit black ice and lost control of the vehicle, in fear of hitting another vehicle Adriana turned the wheel to go off the road instead. When the tires hit where the gravel and grass meet Adriana lost control of the vehicle again, which resulted in their Dodge Journey going up the embankment and hitting trees. After hitting the trees the vehicle then flipped and rolled over several times landing the car back into the middle of the Taconic Parkway. Adriana was airlifted to the hospital and her daughters were taken by ambulance. Since then, and the following 72 hours have been filled with turmoil and heartbreak. We are extremely grateful that Piper and Harper were able to get discharged with no injuries. Adriana, however, has had to have countless surgeries for her severe injuries that left her unable to care for her daughters.
Adriana Toma is a mother, a daughter, a sister, and an unequivocally beautiful, kind woman. A mother of two, Adriana has been trying her hardest to support her family and their journey in life. She is so incredibly loved, and we are heartbroken by the situation. Every day, she made her immediate family and friends proud with her grit and dedication to a better life.
It is still unknown how long it will be before Adriana will walk again. Adriana was hospitalized for 16 days. Her injuries are as follows: both of her legs are broken, her left knee, calf, ankle, etc down to her toes are all broken. Her right hip, femur bone (thigh), knee, calf ankle and down to her toes every bone is broken. She has 3 fractures in her face, one fracture on the left side of her collar bone. She has stitches in her eye, her lip, her face, and her left arm. She has a severe abrasion on the left side of her neck from her seatbelt, and a terrible burn on her right arm from her airbags. Her pelvic bone is also fractured. Adriana is now non weight bearing and wheelchair bound, we are unsure how long it will be before she is able to live her life without a wheelchair. Adriana will have several follow up appointments with her trauma orthopedic surgeon, her ENT doctor, as well as her primary care doctor. Adriana will also need to see a plastic surgeon for the damage done to her right eye. Adriana is very discouraged as she went from being super mom, to needing assistance with almost everything.
At this time Adriana and both of her daughters are in the care of Adriana’s mother. However their home still needs to be maintained. We are in need of financial assistance to help get them through the next few months. Her daughters will need assistance with rent, utilities, food, and hospital bills as we try to navigate through this incredibly difficult time. We are all being spread thin emotionally and financially while dealing with this situation. Anything to release the financial burden off the girls is so greatly appreciated. The family's prayers are with the girls and their mom right now. We are doing everything we can to get through this, but we can't do everything alone. If you can, any sort of help is appreciated. Thank you.
