Help for Lawyer Fees

Hi!!! My name is Mareiwa. I am a Colombian-French artist based in San Francisco. I’ve been living here for almost three years now. I moved here for grad school, after obtaining a scholarship, the only way I was able to attend the school. I have been able to stay in San Francisco, so far, as after grad school I was eligible for a post-grad visa. The visa is ending July 7th, but I don’t want to leave. I am very happy here and have found a home in San Francisco. I am currently trying to apply for another visa that would allow me to stay three more years.  The visa in question is a special visa for artists, the lawyer I’ve talked to was very positive about me getting the visa, unfortunately, I don’t have the means to pay the fees she is asking for. Therefore I am turning to the community for help, I need $9,000 dollars to pay the lawyers fees and cover some extra fees such as application of the visa, etc. 


I am hoping to raise this money in the next two weeks as I would like to start the visa process asap, is a long process.

I know this has been a rough year and we are not all able to contribute to our community members, so thank you a thousand times if you are able to help me reach this dream of mine of staying here in San Francisco longer.
